I still adore plaids and I love flowers!

An Irish breakfast fortified me for the New Year!

Irish bacon, Irish white pudding (pork blood sausage), Irish black pudding (beef blood sausage), Irish sausages, fried tomatoes, fried eggs, Irish soda bread, and Black Currant jam--yummy! The only key ingredient missing was Guinness (ha ha).

Breathtaking pictures the day after the storm!

The crisp white in contrast with the gorgeous blue sky made for beautiful vistas the day after the storm. Yes, it is chilly, but have you noticed that the sunrises & sunsets are stunning, too? I love how the pinks and purples merge into each other!

I love a big storm such as the one we are experiencing today. It gives us pause--a time to reflect, recharge, and prioritize!

Paul Gregg is in good spirits & recovering well--emt

I talked to Paul on the phone this morning. He is making good progress and has a check-up appointment for tomorrow already. I asked if I could visit today and he said "no"! He said he looks terrible. So I will check in with him in a few days. In the meantime, Paula and Paul are enjoying the Monk episodes that Mark & I lent them on DVD. Yippee!
